New to

All Saints

Perhaps you are new to our area and looking to join a local church. Or maybe you have been introduced to the Christian faith and want to find out more. Either way, joining a new church can seem a little daunting.

Although all Anglican churches follow the same pattern of services, they all seem to do things differently. It can all seem a little confusing if you're new!

Rest assured that here at All Saints, Edmonton, we do everything we can to welcome newcomers to our church. When you arrive at our church, there is always a team of people, that we call sides-people, who will welcome you.

One point to note, if you are hard of hearing and use a hearing aid, it is best to sit on the left-hand side of the aisle as there is a loop which can help you to hear better. Just set your hearing aid to the 'T' setting and you should be able to hear perfectly.

Further, if you have young children, you are most welcome to join our services. Unfortunately the children's area is closed at this current time, so children will be with their parents or guardians in their pew.

Our service booklet contains everything that happens during the service. Sometimes the service contains extra prayers which are not listed in the booklet but, rest assured, the service will take up again on the same part of the page. If in any doubt, there is sure to be someone sitting near to you who will help. And…the bit that always creates anxiety - when to sit down or stand up! The booklet pretty well tells you! However, you'll quickly see from the people around you, although it really doesn't matter if you get it wrong!

Of course, if you have impaired mobility or find standing difficult, please stay seated. Further, should you need assistance in coming up to the altar for communion or if you'd prefer to have communion brought to you, please do not hesitate to let one of the sides-people know. They are there to help you with any queries you may have.

Normally after the service we would share a cup of tea and a biscuit and catch up but we are not able to do this at the present time. Please do try to introduce yourselves to Mother Roxane, the presiding priest or the welcome team and we can take your details and keep in touch if you would like to keep in touch.

We warmly look forward to welcoming you to our church family.
