Christmas at All Saints

In a few weeks the watching and waiting; the expectation of the coming of the Christ child will be over. We will move from Advent into Christmas where the child of light will be born and obliterating darkness from the world paving a new way of living.

Come and join us as we wait with the shepherds and the animals in the manager; as our hearts are lifted by the sight of the bright star in the night sky; as Mary and Joseph wait patiently together. Come and join us in celebrating the birth of the Christ child, the baby who brings light and hope with his birth year after year, the baby who transforms the world. Join us as we wait for Emmanuel’s arrival and God being with us.

Sunday 3 rd December was the first Sunday of Advent, which is the beginning of the four-week season leading us to Christmas. Each Sunday is marked by the lighting of a series of candles at the end of this period we will celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus.

Our Sunday service at 10am and Wednesday service at 9.30am carry on as usual and then our seasonal offerings will be as follows:

Sunday 17 th December – Carol Service, with the New Tottenham Singers starting at 6pm.

Come and enjoy listening to and singing your favourite carols. Seasonal refreshments will be available after the service.

Thursday 21 st December –Blue Christmas Service at 7pm .

This is a service for those who may find Christmas difficult with all the festivities which may reminds loss or would like to acknowledge the sadness in their hearts as we prepare for a time of joy and celebration. We welcome all to join us in creating a reflection space where all of this is held in the sacred space of All Saints.

Sunday 24 th December – Advent 4

The final Sunday of Advent pivots us toward the light of Christmas on the same day. Our usual Sunday service will take place at 10am.

Sunday 24 th December – Crib Service at 4pm.

We are inviting families to come and experience the joy of the nativity, with readings and carols. Come dressed as an angel, a shepherd, a wise person or one of the animals in the manager. How about Joseph or Mary? Or just come as you are.

Sunday 24 th December – Midnight Mass at 11.30pm

This intimate service with the glow of candles recreates the warmth and stillness of that wonderful night when Jesus was born in the humble setting of a stable.

Monday 25 th December – Christmas Day All Age Service at 10am

Come along with family and friends on Sunday morning for this joyous service for all ages, as we celebrate together the birth of Jesus, the Christ child, the light of the world.
