Collect for Remembrance Sunday.

Almighty Father, whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the king of all: govern the hearts and minds of those in authority, and bring the families of the nations, divided and torn apart by the ravages of sin, to be subject to his just and gentle rule; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

6pm Evensong: Psalm 89:19-29, I Kings 1:15-40, Revelation 1:4-18. 

The next four weeks:

 

Advent Gospel Course: a three week course starting on Tuesday 14th November, at All Saints Vicarage. An opportunity to learn more about how and when the Gospels came to be written, and about St Mark’s Gospel (which we’ll be listening to through most of 2017-18) in particular. Starts at 7.30pm.

 

Home Group meets next on Thursday 16th November at 8pm. Please contact Janice Panton if you’d like to know more: 020 8360 2858.

 

Youth Group meets next on Friday 17th November, All Saints Vicarage (All Saints Close, N9 9AT) 7-9pm. All young people of Secondary School age are welcome.

 

Table Top Sale: Saturday 18th November, 11am to 2pm. Please speak to Audrey Bernard if you’d like to donate goods (not electrical goods!), or if you’d liket to book a table (£10).

 

Open Church (organised by the Friends of All Saints Edmonton): All Saints will be open to visitors between 2 and 5pm on Saturday 18th November. If you would like to help ‘church sitting’ so that visitors can come in, please do speak to Fr Stuart.

 

Rosary Prayer Group meets next on Saturday 25th November at 11am in The Lady Chapel. Please speak to Fr Stuart or Eva McGrowder if you’d like to know more.

 

24 Prayer Vigil: From Darkness into Light: to mark the start of Advent, the Church’s time of preparing for the celebration of Christmas, we will be holding a 24 hour prayer vigil in church, starting at 11am on Saturday 2nd December. If you would like to be part of this important act of prayer and witness, please sign up using the sheet in the Library Corner.

Christmas Dinner: Saturday 9th December, 6pm, Church Hall. Tickets £15 (£8 for under 16s), available from Audrey Bernard and Bruce Mottram. Buy early – they sell fast!
